Summer Holiday Hoard Heroes: Treasure
We're having a summer of Iron Age discovery!
Come to the Museum of Chelmsford to learn more about the Great Baddow Hoard and the people who would have handled these Iron Age gold coins. With three sessions to choose from and join in with, from treasure to learning about the Celts, the final weeks will be about how museums display and interpret unique and spectular finds such as these.
Familes can take part in crafts and games associated with the Great Baddow coin hoard and the museum, and learn something new along the way!
Weeks 1 & 2: Treasure
Selection activities for children to move around at own pace:
• Metal detector activity.
• Use die to make clay coins
• Design a treasure chest/money box
• Colouring table/ activities
